    1u4500 initial network setup issues.

We are in the process of setting up the 1u4500 for the first time. Going through the process with DHCP, everything seems to go fine, and both the Setup GUI and the front panel indicate that the box has recieved an IP address and has the correct Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server. But when I go to Start Browser, it times out trying to connect. Pinging the IP address from command line times out with 100% loss, and trace route fails at the first hop. When we try to set it up with a static Ip address 192.168.2.201 it complains that LAN 1 and LAN 2 cannot be on the same IP Segment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like something I encountered on the N7700, if the link aggregation is disabled you can not have both LAN ports on the same subnet. Change the other port to a different subnet or just use the other port...

Cheers, we shoved the LAN IP Well out of the way and it seems to be playing nice now.
