N5200 Pro - WD20EADS 2TB Upgrade nightmare - Please help

I've been running 7 x 2TB Seagate drives in my N7700, 24x7 for the last 3 weeks. no problems, and of my 10.7TB RAID5 array, I've used almost 7TB Only thing that concerns me is that I'm on the latest firmware, which I hear is a bit dodgy?

Has anyone tried forcing WDxxEADS drives in sata 1 mode (1.5 GB/s) by putting a jumper on pin 5-6?
Not sure if it would help but worth a shot
