Exclamation N299 - Problem rebuilding RAID1 after moving Bad Raid to new Unit

    Hi,

i got a Bad Raid and changed the second HDD of Raid1, assuming that would fix the Problem.
but rebuilding the raid failed, the bridge was broken.

so we changed to a new unit, insert the hdds and raid was starting to rebuild.
    but rebuilding is still failing.

old unit got firmware 1.00.24, new one got 1.00.26

problem is that i cannot acces to my shares right now in order to save the files. leaving two disks in the n299 gives me about two minutes to start filetransfer (as long as it tries to rebuild the raid) and then exit the connection (as soon as rebuilding fails)

leaving only the "good" hdd in the unit also gives me no access to files.

i tried building a new raid with two blank hdds, that was done successfully.
any idea ho tow save my files? can i mount the good disk maybe on a linux/mac pc to access files?

    i fixed this by myself.

forget about the important files, do all that work again, trash that n299 and go for a dlink dns-323
much better and more possibilities, especially for backup your data
see here (remove spaces thx to 5 post limit for posting urls): http : // wiki . dns323 . info /

thanks thecus, great support for awesome products!
