    Problems with Schedule On/Off

I have an N4100+. For a long time, I had it set up to automatically start up and shut down, which it did fine. Now, seemingly spontaneously, it has stopped starting up. I have to go and turn it on manually. It still shuts down as normal.

What is the problem, and how can I fix it, please? I don't do anything fancy with this thing, all I ask is that it turns on and off, and stores data - nothing else!

    Dear KaTa,

Please try set your NAS to factory default and disable all modules if there are any, then try the Schedule On/Off again.

Thankyou Ivan, I will try - will I lose my data if I set to default?

    Dear Kata,

You will lose your ACL settings. Your data will remain unchanged.

    Re: Problems with Schedule On/Off

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what are ACL settings?

    Re: Problems with Schedule On/Off

    Kata,

The acl settins (access control list) is located in the folders section of your web config page. All the ACL's do is allow users to have access to folders and what permissions they get (read only, write and read, etc).

If your the only user and you don't use a login to access your data you don't have to worry about the ACL's and I'd try the factory defaults, then setup your power mgt again.

Have you checked for new firmware as well?
