N5200 Firmware downgrade and permissions trouble

I think I may have accidentally loaded incorrect firmware on my N5200 at some point because it is showing version 2.01.09 but the Thecuse website lists 2.00.16 as the latest version (7/31/09).

When I try to downgrade to the 2.00.16 available on the Thecus website, the system will not let me; it says "Sorry this version cannot be downgraded to version : 2.00.16."

The reason I want to switch the firmware is because I'm troubleshooting a different problem. One of the folders in a shared folder is inaccessible when I mount the N5200 in Mac OS X (either using SMB or AFP). All users are on the ACL for its parent folder but one particular subfolder keeps giving me an "access denied" message. It is available to browse when logged into the web disk through Safari or Firefox but won't work when being accessed and browsed in an operating system window.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Jon

***Please read these instructions through fully prior to starting the process.***

    - Download the TheucsDowngrade.zip file from http://content.astralon.be/Userbase/ThecusDowngrade.zip.
    - Extract the enclosed file (JTD-938742.rom) to somewhere convenient.
    - From the web interface select 'System' and then 'Firmware Upgrade.'
    - Browse to the 'JTD-938742.rom' file and select 'Apply.'
    - DO NOT REBOOT
    - Now repeat the Firmware Upgrade process pointing to the version of firmware you wish to install - v2.00.16 is the latest stable version.
    - Once complete reboot the unit and you will have downgraded your firmware.

    Regards,
    Astralon
