How Long To Run SMART Test?

    Hello,

I have an N4100PRO with 3 Seagate 1.5TB drives and tray 3 has a warning. When I clicked on the Warning it shows a Reallocated Sector Count of 2517 and a Pending of 1473. That does not sound good to me. I chose a Long SMART test and started it. Any idea how long it will take? Is this drive going bad? I have done some searching and it looks like these drives were a bad choice.

    Thanks,
    John

A reallocated or pending sector count greater than zero is bad. Replace the drive ASAP.

Also, repeat after me: "RAID is not a backup solution."

Thanks, that's what I thought. Still would like to know how long the SMART test will take. I have a backup of the data on the RAID.
