    eMail Notification Help on N4100PRO

    Hello,

I have an N4100PRO using FW 2.01.09 I have the WAN set for DHCP and it picks up my Apple Airport Extreme as the Gateway and DNS Server. I have a Yahoo mail account that I want Notifications sent to. I checked the Yahoo mail site help and setup the Auth Type to Login, SMTP Server to plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com, Port to 465, set the SMTP Account to my Yahoo email address, put in my PW's, and set both email From and Receivers email to my Yahoo email address. I have tried all the different Auth Types too. What am I doing wrong? Under the WAN settings it shows the Domain Name as thecus.com, should I change that? I have done nothing under the LAN settings, should I? Some help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

No need to do anything in LAN settings and no need to change the domain - the N4100pro acts as a mail client.
Is Your password more than 12 characters ? If Yes, then You have to shorten it, cause thats the limit.

Thanks Peter, my password is less than 12 characters. Not sure how to go about troubleshooting it.

The troubleshooting is not so easy, but try to go with Your ISP's mail server and with Your given mail adress. Usually these mail problems are configuration issues.
