Will there be a tradeup program to trade a new N7700 for an N7700SAS?

Also, when can I buy the new N7700SAS? My company is looking to buy 2 new NAS units before August. Is the N7700SAS available by end of July?

I have tried EVERY USA retailer on your 'Where to buy' looking for a N7700SAS

NOBODY HAS THEM

EAEGIS.com says 14 days or longer and have no ETA

So, WHERE CAN I BUY ONE IN THE USA?

I need to spend this IT money before 8/1 or lose it back to general fund. I would love to get the N7700SAS but cannot find anyone selling them.

The shipment to the US has been delayed.

The estimated date for stock to arrive in the US is around mid-august 2009.

This is getting ridiculous.

The product is NOT available in the USA, no preorder allowed because I am told that Thecus has not yet even set a price!!!

I called Span in the UK, who said 'available within 7 days'. They do not have it and are now saying 21 days or more.

Thecus, IS THIS DEVICE AVAILABLE???? If so, please give me ONE RETAILER that has them. I need it ordered soon and will pay shipping.

IS THERE ANYONE SELLING THESE YET? WHAT IS THE DISKLESS LIST PRICE?

Well, I have not gotten an answer from Thecus.

I tried 5 dealers in Europe

Nobody has N7700SAS or N8800SAS

They were all told 7/15 or 7/20.

To this date, they have not even been givien list prices, so there
are no preorders!

Thecus, would you mind giving us a quick reply to this similar question : where can we buy it in France?
The resellers you are talking about only have the Thecus N7700 old generation that doesn't support XFS File System (partitions can now exceed 8 To).
May we have a real shipping date in France also?

Before Thecus wastes a reply.
The N7700 with latest firmware, CAN do XFS filesystem greater than 8TB. I have mine setup that way. (7-2tb drives, 6 drivers in a Raid6 - 1 spare giving 9TB Formatted Data)


But back to the real question:

I have confirmed with our US office and the stock should arrived in the US around the 17th of August 2009, however, tests will have to be done first before the N7700SAS are sent to the resellers.

It is not advisable to purchase from other countries because of RMA and the extra shipping cost.

I will follow up for you on this issue and let you know asap when the stock is available and which reseller to contact.

It doesnt answer the question. I checked 11 retailers all over the world now. NOBODY has this device.

Did you announce it too early? Did you have a glitch? NOBODY has these yet.

I will wait for it, because there really is nothing else I can do!

Well,

I lose my funding tomorrow

So, I will be buying 5 QNAP NAS servers instead.

I'll relegate my N7700 to a backup device, slaved off of the incrementals from the other 5 servers.

Sorry, I was hoping to become a Thecus shop. But no luck in Boston.
