THECUS N0503 V3.00.04 - GUI "error"
On the Storage > Raid page the unused data capacity is wrongly "calculated/shown.
If there were a TB instead the GB measure it would be correct, or to state it is ~200GB.

Maybe somebody from Thecus read here...
btw. whatfor do I need the unallocated space and why is this defaulted to 95%??
Re: THECUS N0503 V3.00.04 - GUI "error"
Dear sr71,
The information on the RAID page is correct.
0.2GB= the space that has been used / 1709.9GB= totoal capacity available
If you add 5GB file then it will read
5.2GB/1709.9GB
The unallocated space can be used for iSCSI target volume

Re: THECUS N0503 V3.00.04 - GUI "error"
Thank you.
With 3 Samsung F3 installed in Raid 5 I jsut get arounf 33MB/s write and 40MB/s read troughput on the N0503. Is this normal, I thought it will be more as on the share from my second computer (also Vista SP2) I get around 80MB/sec (read/write). So I am a little bit disappointed.
edit: I found the fault -> it was my network adapter (Atheros 8121), if I use an Intel GBit Adapter I can get arount 60MB/sec reading and 30-40MB/sec
writing to the NAS. But it is strange that I can get the full speed with the Atheros to another Vista/XP computer but not to the N0503.
Now with the Intel Networkadapter i am much more satisfied..... the second computer has a Realtec adapter, strange it is usally more crap than Atheros...
