    WD WD15EADS 1.5TB vs Samsung HD154UI 1.5TB

I have a N5200 and want to upgrade all drive to 1.5T. It seems most people using WD or Samsung. Pls share your experience on this two drive in terms of speed, temperature, noise, price, stability, reliability and warranty services

I have new Samsung HD154UI and they seem to work fine so far, relatively quiet and mild to the touch. They are cheap too

Thanks for your suggestion. May I know when you choose your new drive? Why do you go to Samsung first rather than WD? Is it because of price or just because want to try.

I already had a NAS with 3x500 GB Samsung drives that have worked flawlessly, they have a good reputation and indeed are the cheapest I could find...

I've worked for a computer part resseller for years and found out that all brands have about the same reliability nowadays, so just take care of it with RAID5. As for speed, the RAID+NAS+network will be the bottleneck so it doesn't really matter.
