    Thecus yes nano N1050

I have just got a N1050 along with a samsung 160 gb 2.5 hard drive. I have formatted it using the supplied software. The problem I have is when I connect my digital camera and try to download photo`s onto the hard drive it just keeps coming up with the error light to flash. I don`t know if I am doing something wrong, the switches are in the right positions. Any help please!!

    Re: Thecus yes nano N1050

    What digital camera is it?

Does the camera support USB mass storage or does it do something different in windows and require additional drivers or software to access it?

    Hi Funkstar

Camera is a nikon d80 and it supports mass storage. Do you know if i need to install any software onto the hard drive i put in the n1050? Or if i need to create something else somewhere?

    Re: Thecus yes nano N1050

    it should just work then.

You won't need to install any software, it's all handled by the firmware in the N1050 itself. Have a go with a basic USB memory stick or something, if that doesn't work then there is a problem with the drive or the N1050.

    Re: Thecus yes nano N1050

I bought n1050`s both have the same problem also USB does not light up on one and flashes then shows error light on the other. Sounds faulty, it just seems unusual to get two faulty ones together. Do you think a firmware upgrade could be the problem? I have looed on the thecus website but can`t find one. Thanks Allan
