    N5200 Self Testing Error

Hi, I have two N5200 units. One is fine, the other is not working.

When the unit is started it goes into "Self Testing..." mode on the LCD and the Red LED ! lights up. The fans are running but it never goes any further. Pushing the ESC switches on the front, I get "No HBT Log", but nothing else.

I tried resetting the interface with the Reset button for 10 secs, but it does not exit this "Self Testing..." mode

I tried removing all Hard Drives and resetting, still no change.

What more can I try to solve this issue?

    Thanks for any suggestions

can you try to access to your N5200? if accessable, my unprofessional guess will be something wrong with the chip for the LCD. you'd better contact Thecus tech support for advise. maybe you need to change some components.

I had the same issue. Faulty DOM chip. After the replacement, everything works fine.

I couldn't access it remotely or find a way to reset it to defaults. But I hate the idea of having to ship the whole thing off for a simple fix.

    Re: N5200 Self Testing Error

I contacted Thecus and they suggested the DOM chip be replaced. But today when I pulled the drives, the unit will not even power on. Which leads me to think it could be more than the DOM chip. Perhaps power supply.
