Hi everyone, it is unfortunate my first post is a cry out for help.
I am trying to setup my new N2200 but getting errors when setting up. The unit is found on the network and gets an IP Address (which can be pinged, and the smart utility notes hard drives detected). However when setting up after message saying "system is loading software please wait", I get the message "rom file not found". When I click ok I get the message "Upgrade thread fail". Alternatively I get the "FTP errorError: 553 No Such file or directory" error.
I have tried the below:
- I have rebooted my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard - with latest updates)
- I have rebooted the N2200 numerous times
- I have the firewall turned off completely
- Tried different hard disks (I am trying to use 1.5TB Samsung HD154UI hard drive)
- Copied the firmware file into same folder application was installed into
- Tried both one click and manual installation
- Tried to install it on a PC with the same issues experienced above
Can anyone please help, I am getting terribly frustrated. I realise the Samsung HD154UI drive is not listed as a supported drive. However there is no mention that drives not on the list will not work.
I have also opened a ticket on the Thecus support site (on Monday and have received no response as of yet)
Thanks everyone!
Cheers
Paul
