NAS N2200 - the display is almost completely black

In my NAS N2200, the display is almost completely black, and I can barely read it only in dark. Could this be a bad LCD display?

I find it a bit hard to quantify myself but thought my display was also a bit vague. Can't say I'd call it 'black' though.
At night its more or less ok to distinguish the icons but on the day its hard to tell which one is on/off. I had the impression that light sort of radiated and partially lights up surrounding parts of the display but that shouldn't be possible cause its LCD right !? Anyway, I'd describe the display more as 'vague'.

In any case I find there is'n't that much at all to see on the display and the unit is tucked away in a corner so didn't think much about it to complain about that since there's plenty other stuff causing me troubles with this box.
