Will N5200PRO get the new firmware?

I have an N5200PRO with over 1.5 years of uptime.

I have not upgraded the firmware from what it came with, 2.00.04.

But I am in significant need of the Disk Encryption feature of the new firmware.

Will it be release for the N5200PRO??? if yes, what is the timeframe?

Also, does anyone know what RAM to purchase to upgrade the N5200PRO from 512mb to 1gb or more?

    Thanks all!

I'd like to know the same thing... along with MANY others.

Is V3 firmware coming for the N5200PRO? YES/NO??

And an indication of a timeframe would also be nice

    Thanks

I've been running v3.00.45 for a couple of months now (it was released in beta, then seems to have been hastily pulled though the NAS is running fine as is). No encryption in there that I can find though.

    Splash,
    1. Have you had any problems running the Beta?
    2. Did you build a new RAID after the firmware upgrade or did your current RAID array work as it was?
    3. When you log onto the Thecus, are there any menu items that indicate you could add encryption to the disk or array?
    Thx.

Re: Will N5200PRO get the new firmware?

Is anyone from Thecus ever going to give us a straight answer on IS V3.x.x Firware ever going to come to the N5200PRO.

YES/NO or even a "possibly" will do. Come on put us numerous loyal customers out of our misery.

    Apologies if I've missed a previous post/announcement.

p.s. I'm interested primarily in the RSYNC inclusion in this firware, and will it be an updated version to the old module that already exists, and is ancient / and slow)
