Cannot acces N3200PRO from internet
Hi guys! I'm a new user of this nice N3200pro but after following everything describe in the user guide I still not able to acces my N3200pro from internet.
When I point to my host internet id, I reach my modem conexion page. I assume that it is a routing configuration issue but I don't know how to fixe it.
My N3200pro is connected to the ADSL modem.
What do I have to set on this modem to go through it from internet?
Thanks for your reply.
Re: Cannot acces N3200PRO from internet
How do You want to access it via http, https, ftp ?
For http You have to port forward port 80 to Your internal IP, for https port 443, ftp is more tricky (that is of course only valid if You have not modified the ports in the NAS). If You have a build in Firewall then You may have to define also the proper firewall rules.

Re: Cannot acces N3200PRO from internet
Hello PHMAC2000,
If you reach your modem webpage, it means it kind of "hide" your internal network from the internet; which is minimal security and normal... Now, as Peterfu answered, the next step is to configure your modem so it will "forward" the internet requests correctly to your N3200PRO. For this, you must have access to your modem's configuration in order to say: "forward any internet requests on port 80 (HTTP) TO your N3200PRO [configured IP address]". Sometimes, it is called mapping, or NAT. Just remember to forward only the ports you need for security reasons. (either HTTP, HTTPs or FTP)...
Some Internet providers are either blocking access to their modems or to standard ports like HTTP, HTTPS or FTP. In the first case, there is not much to do... but in the second case, you could still tell your modem "accept any incoming session on port "3456" (just an example) and forward it to port 80 on your N3200PRO (if, of course, you want to publish HTTP). In that case, you will access your N3200PRO like that from the internet: http : // your.ip.add.ress : 3456 / ....
Good luck.

Re: Cannot acces N3200PRO from internet
Hi guys! Finaly I had to request to my provider to activate the NAT functions on my modem. Then I configured the port 80 and 443 to be redirected to my N3200pro.
Thank you all for your support. Really appreciate.
