We suggest to try a different LAN Cable/Switch Port, or better yet, connect computer directly to NAS using a Standard Straight Ethernet Cable. One end of the cable connect to NAS, the other end connect to computer, just be sure to statically configure an appropriate IP address for your computer.
I connected my laptop straight to the nas and transferred some files and it peaked at 9.4MBps and then leveled off around 3.5MBps. With my router taken out of the equation all together the results are no better than before. My conclusion tells me that there is definitely something wrong with this unit.
