N2200, Can't access to the web administration interface

    Hi,

    - I have one HHD installed on tne NAS, western digital WD6400AADS
    - the version of smart utility is 1.0012
    - the version of the firmawre is V3.00.07E
    - I am in JDOB configuration

I don't have access to the web administration interface. I have followed the process described in smart utiliy but when i reach the window with "start brower", firefox is launched and opens a window but there is a message that there is jno connection with 192.168.1.100.

I use the software look@lan and the N2200 has the right adress 192.168.1.100, it's online.

I made one time a reset with tha back button but no improvements.

I submitted a ticket to Thecus but no answers, thanks a lot Thecus !!!!

Could you help me please, i am a little bit desasperate.

    Thanks,
    regards.

I have got the same problem as you and I have already submited a ticket for the matter. The web administration interface seems to have encountered an error loading the page. Were you are able to reach the page prompting for the password?

However I am still able to access the file in the harddisk. You?

i use 192.168.1.500 instead the 192.168.1.100. The ip-adres has been given bij mij dns-server. Use the smart-utility to indentify yourThecus- ip.

Having the same issue. Except my address is 192.168.1.64. Turned off the firewall, restarted the router, still getting an "Unable To Connect" message. Any ideas?

Re: N2200, Can't access to the web administration interface

I went back to my dealer. Their technical support team tried to fix the problem. I reckon they couldn't pin point the cause, thus they did a one for one exchange for me since I have only got the machine for less than 4 days.

I suspect the fault might lie in the new fireware. I am not ungrading the firmware in my new machine till it is cleared. Any one else having the same problem since the firmware upgrade?

Re: N2200, Can't access to the web administration interface

Sounds like you could have accidentally de-activated the configuration for the access via HTTP or HTTPS. If you deactivate HTTP you will get locked out. Then you will have to reset the config with SINGLEUSERMODE.

    Extra-Titanian,

Try navigating to your device via HTTPS... something like:

    https://192.168.1.64

Re: N2200, Can't access to the web administration interface

    Jmusset,

SINGLEUSERMODE is the method for for resetting the IP and Admin Password on the N0204-- basically it is an SSH script that comes with the N0204 Software CD. The way it works is that you put it on a USB flash drive and press the COPY button... the N0204 will restart with basic services and a reset of its IP and Admin Password.

But the N2200 is reset via the reset button instead of SINGLEUSERMODE file.

    Sorry for the confusion.

im having the same issue ticket number is JVZ-687207

im getting the same issue with the same firmware

however im also getting a constant beep when i turn the unit on, it boots ok then after its booted it doesnt stop beeping.

from what i have been reading this means one of the hdd is on the way out, however i have tried to boot with no hdd at all and also both hdd indivudualy and it still just beeps at me.

I can still access the files its just i cant get at the webinterface, it will load the page but the graphics are all messed up and it wont display the box to let me enter the username and password.

anyone got any ideas about this?

Re: N2200, Can't access to the web administration interface

Did you try https instead of http ?

Not knowing what i do, I switched off the WebDisk http support but i left the secure http support on. After this change i got the same problem like you.

    best regards
    Bernd
