    Corsair Begins UK/EU RMA Processing

    CORSAIR BEGINS EU/UK RMA PROCESSING

As of June 13, 2008 Corsair is launching its EU/UK RMA processing service. This means it will no longer be necessary for customers in the EU/UK regions to return RMA items to the Corsair headquarters in the United States for RMA service. The Corsair TSX Express system will process the RMAs and provide the user with the proper shipping point in their region.

Seems like there isn't a UK base (yet?), RMAs are sent to the Netherlands (Holland), unless anything has changed recently.

Indeed. I am in the unfortunate position of having to return my Corsair PSU. It costs approx £24 to send by courier to both Netherlands or US.

You can't use Royal Mail for PSU's (which costs approx £11 to Netherlands), as they weigh over 2Kg (at least the HX620 does with no box/foam and a little brown paper and label).

Re: Corsair Begins UK/EU RMA Processing

My Corsair PSU failed after two years. I duly went through the RMA procedure with the USA office, and they issued me with an RMA number, and an address in the Netherlands to post my PSU to.

When I went to post my PSU, the cost started at £35 without insurance or recorded delivery. I also would have had to complete a customs declaration for the item.

As I wanted to send via recorded delivery, the shipping costs elevated until return wasn't a viable option.

I emailed Corsair USA about this, asking if there was a UK returns centre. The reply was quick, but I wondered if they'd actually read my email - no help whatsoever.

Apart from the prohibitive costs, my PC had been unusable for 10 days, which was massively inconvenient, so I decided not to return, and just bought myself a similarly specced alternative PSU from a competitor.

Forgive me if I don't share the excitement over Corsair introducing a European returns centre, it is still seriously impractical, and, in my opinion, renders the 5 year warranty worthless.

I have gone from a loyal Corsair user to someone who will never use them again.
