Corsair Vengeance 1300 Possible RMA needed?

Hi,
I have had my Vengeance 1300 for a couple of months now and the audio only works when the wire is in a certain position and when it is not the audio is too quiet too hear even at full volume. This means I only can get sound when the wire is in a certain position, should I request an RMA?

Now it plays horrible quality audio when the wire is in a certain place
