Hello all, i am from michigan (usa). I found out about this site while trying to figure out problems with my pc. I have learned a little already about my system and i am hoping to learn more. I am getting into pc recording and such and found the info regarding my system to be very helpful. Hi all,

First post on here. Have been looking at Hexus for a while now - don't know why didn't set up a log-in sooner. Novice PC gamer. Just finished building my first PC - amazed it worked without any fuss!

Current projects
- fitting a few extra 120mm fans to help case air flow and reduce overall noise.
- choosing a new graphics card. (Not planning on buying new monitor, so needs to be quiet
and handle all games at max settings at 1680x1050.
- may try Windows 7 and if I can set it up ok, opt for a DX11 graphcis card, as current card is ok for
most games at present.

Found out about Hexus just a few weeks ago. Don't know why I've been looking for news on US websites when there is one like that in the UK. Really like the articles and the forum as well. Full of useful information.

Have been buying hardware from SCAN for more than 2 years and believe me, I have spent over 100 pounds on delivery so far. Wish I knew that Hexus forum membersip can get you free SCAN delivery after more than 20 posts.

28, Sheffield, UK.
Long time reader, first time posting. I am what I'd describe as a technophile (in that I like reading about new technology and understanding how things work/playing with gadgets) whilst not being a full spod-type myself. As such, computers for me are an over-indulged hobby rather than a career. I frequently find myself in the position of knowing what needs doing but not how to do it.

I like to play with new software/beta releases and occasionally end up bug-checking on a pure-logic basis (as in, try something illogical and see what response you get) though I cannot code and just about scrape by with basic HTML. As such I tend to annoy the friends who created such programs by identifying an obscure bug but having no clue as to how big a job it is to fix, yet alone how to go about fixing it!
