This is because, with all new members, posts are auto moderated.... This means a moderator (such as myself, or any one of many others) has to approve the posts before they become visible. Once the first few posts have been OK'd then it proceeds pretty much straight forward.
As for inline links, please see : http://forums.hexus.net/welcome-hexu...r-rewards.html for details ... You do need a certain number of posts to do certain things.
