it IS quicker, especially for cars thats power is still rising after there redline, you end up not needing to shift as much, and when you do your higher up in the gear you change to and closer to the sweet spot again.
i agree though, i could do gears on GT games no problem at all, but its weirdly difficult on forza.

The R32 is fantastic. First thing you need to do to it before anything else is to get it lightened up as much as possible coz its a bit of a heffer as standard (trust me i tried to push mine up my drive lol, noway).
I've won so many races in single player in this car its unreal and its so flexible in its tuning - it can either be a fast b class or a U999 car that can outaccelerate R2 cars. Off the line it is truly bonkers - mine has Accerleration 10

Does any know the best way to make money in game? I know winning races but what ones are fastest for making it. I'm trying to get the single player finished off and I still need to get all the yank cars that I don't have yet, quite a few I think.

when i need some experimentation cash i stick it on a enduro with a crap CPU driver and go off and do something else. its not so quick but it is painless

Still waiting for my damn copy of Forza.. bloody royal mail. I could of picked up a copy from PC world too as I went to York yesterday..
So tell me, in Forza 2.. are there endurance races?
haha, my skim reading skills are starting to suck.
seriously, seriously need more tracks ASAP..
Blue mountain
Alpine ring
Rio
Road america
Tokyo
all need to get back in ASAP, i really miss all of them now. and lets not start on Fujimi and the drag strip, madness that those were left out as quite a large chunk of community ran pretty much just Fujimi (the initial d fans, but so what it was fun fun fun) and the drag strip was useful

I agree we do need more tracks and sooner rather than later. A fully working dragstrip with christmas tree lights would keep a lot of people happy, and it can't be that hard work to add in. I am still enjoying it tho, up to (Pro 22) now, still need to get some B and A class cars sorted.

As far as I can tell, in D class you can't go wrong with a MK2 GTi.

thats what i was using originally, seemed an odd mix of not enough speed and not enough cornering. i will do some more work on it though to see if anything is blatantly wrong in the setup.
changed to a civic eg6 and it was marginally better, about the same in cornering and didnt get beat up so much on the straights.
well iv tuned a 22b up to A class and i have to say that first impressions are that it doesnt work well :/ its gone from a beautifully balanced racing weapon of B class to an understeery underpowered thing where you seem to need to break for about 50% of a track.... more work needed here! perhaps its TOO light (?!)
im on tonight if anyone else wants to fire a msg and get a room going
