GTA Vice City - mouse not working

So I have GTA Vice City for PC and I played it fine until I got to the first save point in the hotel then the mouse stopped working

So I quit the game and the mouse is fine on the dektop. I restart GTA and, altho the mouse moves the pointer in the menus, it wont click on anything and the scroll doesnt change any settings. Also, when in game the mouse will not work at all.


I tried v1.0 and v1.11 but its still the same


Anyone got any ideas ??

just to see if its another window selected hidden in the background.... some strange things like that have happened with me while playing GTA:VC

Loaded it and the same problem. ALT+TAB brought me back here and then I ALT+TAB again and it went back to game and started working

I have the exact same problem with San Andreas, but Alt+Tab, doesn't help :-(

Does anyone know any other things that might help?

I have also the same problem with GTA Vice City and with GTA San Andreas. I tried many things like ALT+TAB and terminating different programs from the windows taskmanager, and one time I was able to get the mouse working, but now it's broken again. Does somebody knows how to fix this???
