Improved Digg button in the HEXUS sidebar

So, as most of you are already aware, we've got Digg in the HEXUS sidebar on the forums now.

We set it up a couple of days ago, but the trouble with Digg buttons is they go fetch data from digg.com, which takes time - and Javascript won't let other activities continue in the meantime, so the whole page takes longer to load. And that's a pain when you're talking about pages that are loaded frequently - like forum listings.

But luckily Digg has an API, and with that API I have recreated most of the functionality of the normal button, but without the added load times.

Digg counts are updated every 15 minutes. Clicking the button opens the relevant Digg page in a new window. If your browser doesn't support that, it should open in the current window. Middle-click will open in a new tab, too. So all in all, it behaves exactly how most of you will want it to.

Now... try your best to wear out those Digg buttons!
