Not especially bothered. We'll have to see the sales charts to find out if anyone else is.

it wont sell well for 3 reasons actually.

    1. piracy
    2. DRM
    3. its a ps2 port with abit of next gen graphics on it because EA believes that pc's cant handle the 360/ps3 version of the game >
    Quote:
The PC version of FIFA 09 is different to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions because of the CPU processing power required for the architecture of the game.

The majority of gamer's PC's do not have enough CPU processing power for this architecture, so FIFA09 on PC has been built to have the best possible graphics and gameplay engine while still being accessible to as many fans of the game as possible. If the architecture was identical to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, FIFA09 on PC would only be accessible to 1-3% of the PC systems on the market.

Having said that, FIFA09 on PC delivers a very deep gameplay engine, along with leading-edge visuals.

Never been interested in playing a footy game on PC. I'll get FIFA, on Xbox 360.

Wow, good find. Is the console engine natively multi-threaded or something then?

Re: News - EA's DRM push. First Spore, now FIFA 09

I think ive found a good reason to this DRM....... EA are pushing for you to use their ea downloader where you wouldnt get this issue(right?) because its linked to your account, its a bold move and i bet will cost them more in the long run than using a standard cd key.

EA saying only 1-3% of PC owners would be able to play this???? a 9600GT is what, £85 now? that can play crysis on high for an ok FPS but a ps3/360 would die, 7800 equivilant i think the ps3 and 360 are and yet they have say most "gamers PC's" wont handle it even though "gamers" buy the good stuff, right?.

Ah i didnt see CPU , thats a good joke because the PS3 is a cell processor which isnt as good as its made out to be(am i right? google from a year ago so sry if incorrect) and the 360 with tri core that are old gen. Im really confused how a "gamers" PC can be worse than a console.

Maybe this game will be good, fed up with all these sports games because if i wanted to play a game id chose something that is highly unlikely to be done in real life e.g. Crysis where your basicly super human but football can be played with mates lol.

Most PCs out there don't even allow you to add a graphics card.
