SIG SIZES ARE GROWING....please shrink them guys

Hi Hexites

I'm noticing a gentle, subtle and stealthy increase in the size of people's SIGNATURES on the forums.

We have a fairly moderate request: Can you all please keep them to under 100 pixels high? That needs to include text, and I'm noticing people with 2 or even 3 PC's listed, in normal font size , with spaces....and it's all a bit much.

Oh I read them, but even my elephantine memory feels a little pushed to remember the finer points after a couple of years.

And anyway, what's the point of Mods if not to tell us what the rules are when we break them?

Thanks for the reminder Zak, they tend to gradually get bigger and bigger so I've shrunk mine right down. Remind me again this time next year as I'm sure it'll have grown once again.

there should be no commecial pimping in any signatures.

links that go to personal non commecial homepages and blogs are fine.

Otherwise please don't put them in, we will only remove them and get on your case over it.

I never got the point of sig files on modern forums tbh, I think I've only ever used the one, on one forum, that said "Life: Past Performance is not indiciative of future performance"
