Nope and only seen one so far. That was at a till and the woman at the till had only seen three, so must not be very common in a lot of places yet.
Yeah. Got on in my wallet at the moment. Canny enough, can exchange it for beer in pubs, which is all I really need my money to do.

Are sequential notes themselves selling for more, or is it specifically low and sequential? Because I got a few from a cash machine, uncirculated and sequential?
I quite like them TBH, they do feel a lot more durable, and I've come across one where it looks like someone has had a go at tearing it, unsuccessfully. More hygienic too; plastic shouldn't soak up the random bodily fluids paper notes do which is kinda reassuring.
They do seem a bit less 'grippy' though, it seems like they're be more likely to work their way out of a pocket if carried loose.
I got one today, not sure what the low number ones start at etc but either way, looks pretty cool and going to keep hold of it until I see a few more!
Yep I have a few sequential ones at the moment - the local Natwest ATM gives out fivers and they had the new ones a day after release. Not particularly low serial numbers though, they are all AL35 so not worth more than, well, £5 really Then again they are sequential so never know. I had not really thought to take out a bunch of consecutive notes on the day to sell them..could probably have made a few £ if so.
I like the anyway, they shoud last much longer than the older style many of which are falling apart.
Yeah I thought that would be the case - most cash machines now seem to have uncirculated stock so it's not going to be hard to get a stack of sequential notes.
I wonder if/when we'll see £50 notes take off properly? It's not such an uncommon amount to spend nowadays and yet I rarely encounter them. I hear it's to do with retailers being nervous about counterfeit ones, not sure if that's really the case?
Think the ones going for decent money are the "AA00" serials, £250-£500 seems to be the going rate as of a few days ago.
I've had one, hard to tell it's plastic, I was expecting it to be shiny and stiffer but it's pretty much like a standard new fiver to me. Not the best picture of Churchill IMO.
Anything over around £10 I use a debit/credit card and I guess I'm not alone in that, so the use of high domination notes is probably going to fall over time, rather than increase.
And for retailers accepting high value notes for low value transactions could pose problems in mainting appropriate notes in the till float.
Counterfeiting is an issue, there was a spate of forged £20 notes a few years ago and high value notes are a far more attractive proposition for counterfeiters. Money laundering rules also come into play as well.
(Although the new fiver will be great for money laundering......
