*sigh*
I was hoping it to be a 670. Please hurry up NVIDIA. I understand you want the title of 'most powerful graphics card' but please please support your mid-range buyers - the 560Ti was a star for last gen, get the 670 out and compete with the 7870 currently claiming that for this gen! (not that I'm fanboying; I want to compare with both teams for my desired price-point)
I am more interested in the GTX660. The HD7850 2GB is beginning to look like the best value for money card of the HD7000 series especially after seeing some of the overclocking results.
Yep 660 or 670 is a card that would have my ears pricking up.

I too am waiting for the 670 as my 9800gt is on its last legs.
I would have thought they would have been quick to get the 670 out as they must have slightly flawed gpu's (useable still for 670 and lower) in stockpile by now in storage somewhere i would have thought.
Agreed. I'm waiting for the 660 and 670 to build a new PC
It will be fast, but the cost is going to be astronomical!
It seems the 28th of April has been confirmed:

Well. It sucks there is no 670/660 but on the other hand the 690 should push 680 prices down a bit shouldnt it?

Seems the nvidia gods have heard our prayers!
nvidia-might-launch-gtx-670-as-well
I do hope this is the case as it would complete my new rig nicely.
If there is no Ti version announced any of you guys going to get one? As the 560 ti seemed an outright value/cost winner from nvidia.
Though why the x70 ti rather that the x60 ti like the 5xx series?
It would make more sense than a 690 now, and hopefully push prices down for the mid range. I wouldn't try to understand GPU naming, e.g. why did AMD change their top cards from x870 to x970?
My best guess would be the same reason it's the Xbox 360 instead of "Xbox 2". With the playstation 3 coming out the Xbox 2 would sound old tech so Microsoft went with 360. Or so I've heard.
Might be because making the number nearer the next thousand people might be inclined to think its basically the next gen early or something.
But as you say though, I'm probably better off guessing how many wild gerbils live in western china than attempting to understand the methods of a marketing team
Kal that was the original plan. the 680 was suppose to be a midrange card but the performance was good so they decided to rename it. And GK100 Canceled? where?
