    cod4 MP with 7950GX2

Im having a lot of problems running cod4 multiplayer on this card. Im using the latest drivers (169.21) but keep low fps... it hovers around 80 when nothing is happening, and quickly drops to 30/40 when anything happens then drops to 15/20 and gets a bit jumpy whenever theres any real action. Im running on low settings but my screen res is 1680x1050 which seems to be the main problem as its smooth on lower resolutions but obv. doesnt look very good. Any advice?

    Thanks

Id suggest dropping your resolution, I run at 1280 x 1024 on my 7950GT card with no problems what so ever so i shouldnt see why your having such problems.

the game doesnt look all that bad on 1280 x 1024

HAve you checked the temps of the graphics card, my 7600GT was hitting 90oC in COD4

dunno about temps, imagine would prob be ok tho the thing has two fans on it. I'm now using 169.28 beta drivers and it works great!!

    Re: cod4 MP with 7950GX2

Your FPS will depend obviously on the display settings envoked. CPU also plays a part.

If you want a competition config which will switch off a few of the shiny (but pointless) tarty bits, which will maintain a good solid 125 FPS (the desired min FPS for CoD games) then I can send it your way.
