Do you buy games you never play?

I know I've done it from time to time, mostly small indie games, purchased on a whim & probably because I can't resist a bargain.

Anyone else?

Yep, it's primarily steam's fault - I'm in the same boat as you. I'm trying to fix that this week though since I'm off work, started Psychonauts and Trine so far

I really try not to, and used to boast that every single game I had was a cracker. But now.. bargains and cheap games are so plentiful that there are some. Trackmania cost me 99p. Command & conquer renegade was free. Myst 5 was 1.99 I think. That's about it for me - still to used to games being so expensive they were a luxury I guess.

Although Ive pretty much got every single game in, thats ALMOST been completed, bar bioshock!

I tend to just buy stuff when I see it cheap and then it sits on the shelf for months barely touched

Guilty, can see more than a good few sealed Xbox 360 games from where I'm sitting.

Yes, lots of them.. usually bargains I lack the time to play. I will get around to playing them, eventually..

Battlefield 2 - Bought cos it was cheap, never played it.
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus & Abe's Oddysee - Bought cos it was cheap, played about 15 minutes.
Psychonauts - Bought cos it was cheap, never played it.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl - Bought cos it was cheap, played about an hour.
And all the X-COM games when they were cheap on Steam - Never played or even installed them.

I will get round to them i am sure when i have some long weekends/work slows down/hols etc

List includes, Bioshock/Mass effect/Trine/Torchlight/TitanQuest among others all purchased at crazy cheap prices on steam!

during the steam sale i think i bought about 40 games and so far i have oly played about 10-15 of them at most. Other than this exception, If i dont play a game its usually because i have played it a bit and didnt like it.

got loads i bought cheap
Far cry to go through again stalker shadow of chernobyl (both steams fault)
Stalker clear sky alone in the dark Game limited edition £5 bargain for what you get not played though. AOE 3 empire total war.

The worst for me is buying a game cos a mate said its brilliant we'll play it loads together and then never does Left 4 dead springs to mind most recently

D&D Online is now free AND they've removed the lvl caps, so it's up to Lvl 20 now.
