 Specs of the Machines: Dave1 - Athlon 3200+, 1.5gb DDR400, 6800GT, 1TB Hard Disks, DVD-RW Dave2 - Core Duo 2ghz, 2GB DDR2, X1300, 80GB Hard Disk, DVD-RW Server - Athlon 2000+, 512mb DDR266, Radeon 7500, 80GB Hard Disk, DVD-ROM/CD-RW HomePC1 - Pentium D630, 1GB RAM, X1300, 160GB Hard Disk, DVD-RW Chris1 - Athlon 2600+, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard Disk, 9600 Pro (when it wants to work) DVD-ROM/CD-RW.

Wired:
2 Ubuntu boxes (Edgy), one XP Pro box, Netgem iPlayer all via a netgear swtich with a 8mb IPstream Max premium net connection. Wireless: wifi via WRT54G to Nintendo Wii and another ubuntu box (edgy) Sorry i don't have a nice pretty picture..... |

My network is nice and simple -
ADSL (2.2mb down/256kbs up) ¦¦ Netgear Pre-N Router (270mbs) ¦¦ My Rig (PentD920 system with WN311B wifi) & Gf's Rig (P4 3ghz HP laptop with pcmcia WN511B wifi) We can share the net as well as files and the printer, and 270mb wireless stops things slowing up

 things still to come Slingbox Day Night Server Room Cam (so all you guys can see a live feed) Second Internet Connection (BT ADSL Max) for the FTP New Rack Unit (havent had time to rack the units into the new rack yet) Some more storage! New router with VPN (maybe a 3com office connect) Once its all done i'll post some pics as well. |
