    IB9 + Vista = No FanEQ

    Gar.

Everything was going fantastic on upgrading to Vista except the small and very annoying fact that anytime I try and Load FanEQ the system will load it but I can't actually get access to the damn thing, it will open on my task bar but I try to maximize it and nothing happens, the preview shows a blank box and if I am lucky I can see my cursor change from pointer to hand.

At the moment my CPU fan is running at 100% and it is driving my insane.

Does anybody have a fix for this, or another program I can use to contorl the fan speed as this whole system is set up to be quiet.

What version of vista are you using? As FanEQ is not fully supported by VISTA

I have been running Vista HP and the uGuru software released with v3101 (I fink) on my AB9 Pro and I believe FanEQ is working fine, system seems just as quiet as when running XP. That being said, isnt this controlled by the bios.uguru chip, as such wouldnt it be OS independent? Just a thought

The abit IB9 doesn't have a uGuru chip so you won't be able to use the uGuru utility.

Using Vista Home Premium 32Bit, now I have just uninstalled AbitEQ and the fan stays quiet. Have used the settings in the BIOS to keep it low until it hits the limit I have set and sees to be working fine at the moment.

Any updates on when/if AbitEQ will be compatible with Vista would be great as I can change the settings in Windows if needed.
