Abit 190HD and Pioneer BDC-202 compatibility

Hi all, my first post here. I’m looking to purchase a Pioneer BDC-202 blu-ray drive to compliment my abit 190hd but have been told that there is a compatibility issue with the AMD 600 southbridge. Has anyone here acquired these two products or anyone confirm they are compatible.

Funny timing. I have an HDDVD instsalled, and the hardware works fine. I have just posted about problems using PowerDVD and its own setting not allowing the disk to play.

So, the motherboardis fine (with an e6600), but at the moment I can't get software to work it....
