Hi,
I have a Abit KN9S Motherboard with a X2 3600+ and a Freezer 64 Pro. So far, so good. Over last night I left my PC running. When I checked this morning it was powered off. I then started it up and got to the windows desktop only for the buzzer to go and a few seconds later the PC to shut down. I then pulled off the side of the case and found the bracket holding the cooler to the CPU had snapped, causing the cooler to fall off. This Board is only a few weeks old and still under warranty. However I would prefer to just be sent the new bracket and not send back the whole board. Is this possible? I don't paying a small amount to offset the hassle of RMA. Any chance of fitting a Socket 939 type of bracket? Those seem less likely to break.
