    fatal1ty fp-in9 sli and 1333fsb

    hi all
i'm looking for abit of help.
ive ordered a fatal1ty fp-in9 sli MB but also a E6750 . My problem is whether the MB can take 1333FSB CPU's-according to the specs no but some websites say yes. Can anyone clarify this for me?
    many thanks

    ok thanks for those links!!
now if you will indulge me.. I really want to OC the E6750 from its 2.66Mhz native speed to something alittle quicker has this board got the ability to do this?
I'm fairly new to OCing (but not system building) so any advice would be greatfully recieved
    thanks

to be honest unless you need SLI (& that means playing over 1900x res on a large monitor) or you need the 2 IDE channels (4 devices) you are imo better with a 965 or P35 chipset board.

The FP-IN9 SLI is capable of over 400fsb but it can be a bit fiddly (pretty much all 650is are).

the main problem is I've already ordered this board(bad research) from scan.its not dispatched yet so i could change it-I basically cant afford to spend more so from their site there are 5 other boards currently in stock they are:
    Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS NF650i (C55)

    Asus P5N-E SLI NF650i SLi, S 775

    ECS NF650iSLIT-A NF650i SLi, S 775

    XFX MB-N650-IUL9 NF650i Ultra

    Gigabyte GA N650SLI-DS4 NF650i SLi

do you know much about any of these-they all appear to support a 1333FSB natively --I'm just trawling through reviews of them all now....

Of those listed I would probably go with the Gigabyte DS4.
Well, the XFX doesn't have SLI & it doesn't have 2 IDE channels so I guess neither is an absolute must have?
    How about RAID?

If you don't need RAID how about the IP35-E at £65?

    hi again
No SLI not to important-cant afford two cards I was planning on 1 8800gts.+my current HD is a SATA 2 model so only need 1 ide for dvd rewriter.raid is not a major concern either-the rig is on a budget(£500)
and is really a gaming machine,I can always get a more expensive MB later(dont tell the wife!!)
my main concern is being able to get the max performance from the major components CPU,ram and GPU within the budget!!
just looking at the XFX board now-have you had any experience with them?

the XFX is an nVidia reference mobo probably made by Foxconn.
Afaik the P35 mobos will overclock to a higher fsb.
