    Unhappy overclocking FP-IN9 with E2180

    PSU = Seasonic S12 650
    Mobo = abit FP-IN9, bios 15
    Proc = E2180, Dual Core
    Cooler = Noctura
    Mem = 4GB (2x2GB PC2-6400C5 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2) 5-5-5-18
    Vid = 8800 GTX
    HDD = 500GB SATA

    Working defaults:
    FSB 800 (200)
    Multiplier 10X (max multiplier, which doesn't seem right to me)
    Memory ratio either Sync or 1:1

    I have to be doing something stupid… I have tweaked every last setting in the bios, increasing the voltages way up and all to no avail. I can lower the multiplier, up the FSB to something less than a core speed of 2000, and it will not boot. At this point, I am not excessively concerned with voltages yet, though because no matter what I try, I cannot up the FSB, not even by 1. Please tell me this is a PEBKAC situation that can be easily rectified. (Other than telling me I shoulda stuck with Asus…)

    Hiya
    I have a similar problem with my E2160 with Xms2 6400 with that with bios 15 it would hardly overclock
    with this bios i had better results with bio versions 12 and 13
