    Re: Abit IP35 wont post

Just placed the PCI audio card in.... Same problem as before.

Pulled out the audio card... Still not working, as before. ARGHHH!!!!

I'm starting to hate this board.

What is the recommended voltage for your RAM?
The board will usually set the JEDEC 1.8V but most high performance RAM needs more.

The heat sink is fitted perfectly, believe me.

Those modules need more than 1.8V only if you want them to go faster than the vaules programmed in the spd (800 MHz 5-5-5-15)

Now i pulled the board out of the pc... It's running only with the cpu, video card, and ram. nothing else. still not working....

now i'm trying with 1 dimm. nothing

the brand of the psu is "trident". It's the psu of an Enermax case (which I also bought yesterday.. it's new), so it shouldn't be crap. However I tried also with another psu, pulled from a working pc with a similar hardware configuration. Still nothing...

    3.3V 25A
    5V 30A
    12V 18A
    -5V 0.3A
    -12V 0.8A
    5V stand by 2A

I gave up. Now the sytem is working, but with a cheap Foxconn motherboard with via chipset.

I'm quite convinced that my IP35 is faulty.

I don't think it a compatibility problem, because a couple of time, without any logical reason, it worked... and because I tried with different components (except the cpu because i have only that pentium d)

If you only have 18A on the 12V rail (very low spec) then your PSU isnt alot of cop tbh. Change as this isnt going to help at all.
Also, the Platinum OCZ memory requires 2.1v iirc
