Have I got a "Friday afternoon" board?

I've got an IP35 Dark Raider (new) and i've tried 3 different flavours of RAM in it (2x Corsair XMS2 & 1x Crucial Ballistix) and it's still not working right. Sometimes it has a general protection fault when I try to boot from the CD drive, and sometimes it gets into the windows setup, but then can't load random files or can't find them. Tried 2 different XP discs too with no joy.

It also seems to be clocking the CPU at 272mHz, multiplier x8 rather the 266 like it should be, meaning that the memory either goes at 798mHz or 816mHz, which I think is a bit odd?

Have you got an D9 Micron chipped ram as my board can be similarly flakey, especially when recovering from a bad overclock, and only sticking in my Team Xtreme D9 micron chipped ram sorts it out.

Once its sorted itself out I can then shut down and stick my Ballistix back in and all is ok, usually to the till the next cold boot when it can happen all over again.

Turns out this whole shooting match of problems was caused by a shorting SATA cable - the thing's running fine n stable now
