    OC a Q6600 on a IN9 32MAX?

    Hiya folks

Gone SLI recently, 2 8800 GT's,the CPU was bottlenecking so I decided to see if OC'ing would help. Changed FSB to 333, bootup then leads to BSOD. Volts kept the same (1.29v), multiplier kept the same. Haven't upgarded BIOS since I broght the MOBO in July 2007.

    Where am I failing?

    Cheers for help.

Post this in the Hardware forum to get most help, but possibly your RAM is the problem:

Either you have the volts set at stock (1.8v) rather than what your RAM requires (up to 2.2v depending on make), or you have left the multiplier on Auto and are OC'ing the RAM too far (my IP35 was on 2:3 on Auto at 333, which made 333 -> PC1000.

    Otherwise what are your temps?

Aye, thanks for that. Got it to run stable (kinda) at FSB 333, RAM at 667. But 3DMARK06 wont finish running.
