    FP-IN9 Sli OC with intel 840 3.2ghz dual core

    Hi there can anyone help with OC my 840 cpu on the Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi mobo.

    if you look further down this forum there should be a large thread regarding the FP-IN9 SLI.
    like all 650i SLIs it runs a very hot northbridge & iirc the 840 is rather warm too?
    If so make sure that you have good cooling.

    ok then, well im looking on getting watercooling in soon and upgrade my cpu to a Q6600.

    quads aren't a good idea on a 650i SLI as you will struggle to get above middle 300fsbs.
    Also, if you do go quad & wc make sure that you blow air over the PWM section as it's going to get very toasty.

    thanks for the info when i do get a quad i was looking on a new mobo for it and it also needs to be able to overclock, any ideas, i was thinking of getting a DFI LanParty DK P35-T2RS Intel P35 wot u think. im looking to spend around 80 pound.
    ive found this mobo to wot do u think New Asus P5Q Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard 1600FSB
