    BIOS update?

My Abit IN9 Max Wifi 680i has BIOS - "00". That doesn't look very up-to-date.

How much point is there in updating this? My system is currently being RMA'd back to Scan (probably graphics card but all being checked). I've asked twice whether they'll update the BIOS too (and chipset drivers), and I'll pay if necessary, but they've ignored the question, which usually is 'Scan' for "no".

    Should I bother?

    Re: BIOS update?

    Well if it aint broke

    Bios 14 gives the following
    1. Update Micro CPU code to support 45nm CPU.
    2. Enhanced nVidia 8800GTX Graphics card compatibility.
    3. Enhanced PCIe slot compatibility.
    4. BIOS compiled date: 01/24/2008.
So whatever the enhanced compatibility gives is anybodies guess?

If your not overclocking, not likely to change the cpu to the newer ones I wouldnt bother.

This gives a breakdown of what the various bios updates have done
