    You will be lucky.

The IX38 suffers the same issue (we had to go back to an old BIOS).....I've had 2 beta BIOSes from ABit so far that were supposed to fix the issue but did't....I've received a 3rd today which I haven't tried.........BIOS support is becoming rarer and rarer for ABit since they pulled out of the PC market

I would email their support department and pray that they can help you but don't hold your breath....

I know I for one won't buy any other product affiliated in any way with ABit after the way they have left customers with practically no support and a mountain of issues. Despicable practice.

    Re: Abit IX48 gt3 & 4870X2

I have an ABIT IX48 GT3 and it came with BIOS 11 dated 07/16/2008. As far as I know that is an update to BIOS 10 and I have not heard if there is anyhting beyond 11.

Also, I have two each Diamond Radeon HD4870's with 1Gb of RAM installed running in CrossFireX just fine.

    Re: Abit IX48 gt3 & 4870X2

Hi .... i have had the4 same problem with a ix48gt3 hotfoot (not!)

With one hd ati5450 1 g ddr3card ..sometimes works but if you try crossfire forget it ...,ales the system hang or not boot at all.

Ended up having to use two gforce 7900s which means the loss of one pci slot as the cooling takes up extra space.... for the record this is the last one i am going to try from abit. A aw9dmax servedme well until the thing stopped altogether after 4 months - then i got a ip35 with no joy at all - even changing the bios chips.

The whole experience has been a bad one - now with the ix48 i need help as it will not boot unless i do a cmos clear each time =it needs a bios update to tackle the issues. hAS ANYONE GOT A NEW LEAD FOR THE IX48 GT3.

one other thing to mention to allthose out there considerig to get a new flash bios chip for a ix48 gt3

I purchased one to be sent a different sgape altogether..... i was told to go forth and multipy by the firm who say there is no such thing as a gt3 hotfoot ... the mb has a logo which says ix48 tigerforce

confused ? you will be ! It is a shame abit went tits up as they were full of good ideas...anyone who can help me with the ix48 please do ..thanks
