    IN9 32X-Max - GTX 268 and 280 don't fit.

Edit: Title should be: "...GTX 260 and 280 don't fit." ....But I expect the "GTX 268" won't either when they release it.

Corroborated on the US abit forum too.

Gotta laugh, Scan swapped my EVGA 680i for this board the first time I RMA'd the system.

And now they've swapped my faulty 8800GTX for a 9800GTX which is glitching in my games, it looks like I might have to take the SLI route to solve it (It seems to be that the 9800GTX has less memory, so at 1920x1200 4xAA 16xAF, plus triple buffering, it doesn't cope as well.

Btw, anyone register for the US abit forum? I've tried 3 email accounts but they never receive the registration email.

In the time it took that guy to make that web page, shoot the pictures, and post all of that, he could have replace the capacitor with a long legged one then just bend it out of the way. All it takes is a fine point solder gun and a couple minutes.

Hmmm, that operation sounds a bit 'exciting' for my taste.

How about this "extender" (lifts it up a bit)? :

Not sure how the IO plate would then work with the slots.

Your card will then sit to high to align with the back of the case.

Yes, it'd push it out of line with the slot hole - I suppose up to about where the retaining nut for the DVI plug is would disappear:

And you'd lose the TV out. I was thinking if you only needed one, (or maybe 2 DVI's with a small enough plug), but it'd also obscure some of the vents! So looks like it'd need some case alterations.

On balance, I think I'd rather attack the case with a hacksaw than the board with an iron. But that's me. And unlike yourself, I've never built or even meddled with a PC. Might be a solution though - that extender/riser, yeah?
