ABIT IP35-e BIOS bad flash

I've just tried updating my bios from v16 to v18 using flashmenu. After the program deleted the current version it crashed!!!! Now I get the dreaded BIOS ROM checksum error on startup and won't boot up. I've haven't got a floppy drive so I can't sort it that way (getting Drive A error).

Sorting this out is pretty urgent cause all my files on that system that I'm using for a 10,000 word uni assignment due in next friday so panic is setting in!!!

I've called the local PC MOT shop and their asking £40 to sort it out and not sure that they can even do it. From what I've read, it shouldn't be costing me £40!!! Anyone know anyone within the North Wales area who can sort out my current BIOS chip? or a UK supplier of BIOS chips?

if you have access to another mobo that uses exactly the same BIOS chip then you could try a hotflash.
alternatively get a new pre-programmed chip e.g. http://www.abitshop.eu/product_info....roducts_id=207
