uGuru not working on Abit AN9 32x

    Hello

I was directed here for tech support and I would ask for your advice. I am the kind of person, who tinkers around a lot, so uGuru is my beloved program for that. The problem is that under XP (even different so-called performance versions etc) everything worked smoothly.

I am running Windows 7 beta at the moment. I know, it is not officially supported, but since I had exactly the same issue under Vista and since pretty much everything that works under Vista should work under Win7.

Now, the problem itself: the moment I start Abit uGuru, it instantly stops responding and windows tells me: "abit uGuru application has stopped working" and "windows is looking for a solution" etc. Sometimes it manages to tell me: "previous clocking was not successful, uguru will now return to default mode." I may have made a few mistakes writing there, but the idea should be clear.

I have already tried backwards compatibility, running it as an administrator, uninstalling, reinstalling and of course it is the newest version. Maybe I am lacking a driver, since neither Vista nor Win7 acknowledged the driver CD, shouting an error I can't remember. I downloaded everything I could find from the Abit driver's page, even though Win7 did manage to find most of them itself.

    My specs:
    Abit AN9 32x mobo (NOT fatal1ty)
    AMD Athlon x2 5000+
    2GB ram
    Club 3D HD4850
Win7 (had the same issue under Vista, so handle this as a Vista-related problem)

Hope that someone can help me

I did reinstall 3.109, still no luck.

    sol?

Can it be because of my OS being 64bit? And it seems that I got it working ONCE, since it keeps telling me that the previous overclocking was not successful. And I remember messing around with it until the whole system crashed.

Maybe something needs to be turned on in the BIOS?

    EDIT:

    Event Viewer tells me this:

\??\C:\Windows\nvoclock.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

turn off that crappy user account thing. I can't remember what its called as Vista was so **** I got rid of it. It may be better now?
I found 3.1.0.9 to be buggy no matter what o/s, so now just do it all in BIOS as uguru is too flaky!

Using version 3101 uguru in Windows 7 on the IN9 32X and it loads with a couple class errors. It seems to work and report temps and fan rpms and volts, but I am afraid it could cause a memory leak and would rather not use it...
