    ABIT IP35-E(with Bios 18) and the c2d E8400

Hi i'm new here and I was wondering y'all can help me out because I'm soon to buy a new cpu and I was looking at c2d E8400 and a c2q Q6600.I've read on another forum that some one was able to get a E8400 EO to work as long as he didn't oc on his IP35-E.I was looking on newegg.com and couldn't tell whether the 8400 was a CO or EO. but is there a way to find out cause I would hate to pop the chip in and find out it wont work on my mobo which would be odd because like I said before that some one with the same mobo as me got a EO to work.If i'm wasting my time thinking that the E8400EO may work.I cant seem to find the co anywhere that gives good shipping like newegg and I would really like to give the 8400 a shot but do y'all think I should just go with the Q6600 because its guaranteed to work according to the cpu supported list. What do you guys think?

I just got a e8400 working with my IP-35 (not -E, but I think BIOS is essentially the same). Used the beta BIOS posted elsewhere on this forum.

Can't increase CPU voltage, but can overclock via FSB.

All in all, you may want to go with the Q6600.
