    Post pc not recognizing processor

    i recently bought an intel Q8200 core duo quad procesor to put into my Abit AB9 Quad Gt. every thing says it should work my pc fbs is 1066 the procesor is 1333i installed the processor twice turned on the pc and nuthing my bios is version 10 pheonix tech
    i then put the core duo back in and walla power up we have lift off everything a green light i have never upgraded exept for windows programs nothing dos everything was at factory settings
    all the web sites and techs iv researchsed and talked to say it should work but alas nata perhaps i can get some ts tips i dont know what to do ive done everything i knowthey are giving me a hard time about taking the processor back hellllllllllp ill soon be bald!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    unfortunately that info in the #2 post is useless.
    if you truly are on BIOS10 on an AB9 QuadGT then you will need to update it (http://file.abit.com.tw/pub/download...t//m621e17.zip is last official) but afaik abit have never released a BIOS that supports it - the CPU support list for the AB9 QuadGT has "test" against it. http://www.abit.com.tw/cpu-support-l...ab9-quadgt.htm
