Old Abit IC7-G, Is it cooked?

Looking for advice on what to do next. I think I may have cooked something.

    Problem:
    - No HDD light
    - No signal to monitor
    - Fans are working
    - Chipset fan (NOT working)
    - I can hear the hard drive come on initially but not HDD light after that.
    - Reset button not working
    - Can only shutdown by holding in the power button

    What happened:
It all started with a noisy chipset fan. I opened up the computer and decided to disconnect the chipset fan to stop the noise. I had read online that the Zalmen cpu fan blows enough air to keep the chipset cool so I have it a try. While I was in there I disconnected a "sys fan" connector to see what fan it was connected to. When I plugged it back in I didn't get the connector on straight. I smell some burning a few seconds later and that is when I noticed it was not on straight. I plugged it in correctly but by then it was too late. My computer had shut down. Now when I try to start it up I get the above list of symptoms.

I am really not sure if the chipset overheated or if it was connecting the fan wrong or both that is causing this.
It is an Abit IC7-G running raid. I am considering buying the same motherboard and plugging everything into it but I am looking for some advice. Maybe if I am really lucky it is something easy to fix or test.

Re: Old Abit IC7-G, Is it cooked?

The IC7-G suffered with two main problems. First was the habbit of the chipset cooler to fall off & second was bulging caps. Shame really because they were a good board when they were working, but the company I used to work for got through loads of these.
