Network fails after BIOS update (IP35)

Hi

I have an Abit AP35 motherboard.

I've just updated from BIOS version 16 to version 18. After the update the onboard network stopped working. It is no longer detected in Device Manager and no lights come on or flash on the port itself. The same happens with BIOS version 17.

Reverting back to BIOS version 16 solves the problem, but I don't see this as a solution.

The onboard network is enabled in the BIOS. Are there any other BIOS settings that affect the network?

I'm running Vista 32bit.

Fixed it by loading optimized defaults. Then adjusted all my settings back to how they were and it continued to work...imagine that.

As a plus, voltage adjustment now works, whereas before it didn't.

Its strange that it effected the lan port stopped working, but cool it's sorted now. Sometimes things fix themselves in the weirdest of ways.
